Well I finally got this project all done! I'd been working on it on and off, mostly after I'd finished writing up their profiles then I started to design. I know the poses are kinda boring but I kinda just wanted to finish this since I'd been saying I was going to finish it for god knows how long.
Some of the states required me to create two characters for them, namely Mecklenburg-Voropommen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Baden-Wurttenberg because each of these regions was once two or more that were combined after WWII. Each one enjoyed time as their own separate region at various points in history. This set also isn't quite complete, as I still need to draw the former Free States of Hanover, Brunswick, Oldenburg and Schamburg-Lippe, who live with Lower Saxony. The four of them are the special "secret" character for the German States/City States ^_^
haha Saarland looks so mean, eventhough she's the most French of the German countries... together with Baden. ^^"
I'd suggest making Lower-Saxony more like England though (especially if you want to differentiate him from Hannover, Braunschweig an co.), since he was the biggest part of the English zone and was actually founded as a result of the 2nd WW. That would make England like a parent for him. He looks so timid, I'd like to see him more as farouche as the stereotype of the people living there.
btw...it's "Schaumburg" ("foam-castle" XD) not "Schamburg" ("shame-castle").
SAXONY, YESSS. But wait theres no Franken and no Schwaben (Sorry, I don't know there english names ^^") :/ But okay, they aren't states. They look all really cool.
